Embracing Collaboration: Our Visit to Siza Water
As the Amatola Water Board, we recently had the opportunity to visit Siza Water, an organization renowned for its excellence in water management. Under the leadership of Acting Chief Executive Ms. L Nzoyi, our delegation aimed to learn from Siza Water’s best practices and innovative strategies that have propelled them to success in the industry.
Siza Water has consistently demonstrated a commitment to meeting stringent environmental regulations, adhering to the National Environmental Management Act, No. 107 of 1998. Their adherence to the Blue Drop and Green Drop Certification systems reflects a dedication to ensuring high-quality drinking water and effective sewage management. It is impressive to see how they maintain compliance with the South African National Standards (SANS) 241:2015, guaranteeing that the communities they serve receive safe and reliable water.
During our visit, we engaged in fruitful discussions and observations that highlighted several areas where we can improve our own operations. We identified effective strategies for better management of water leaks, explored advanced leak detection systems, and examined ways to enhance our customer service relationships. The knowledge we gained from Siza Water will undoubtedly inform our efforts to elevate our service delivery.
