WATER SUPPLY SHUTDOWN REQUIRED TO CARRY OUT FINAL CONNECTION FOR NOOITGEDAGT PHASE 3 March 28, 2022.
The contractor requires a 24-hour shutdown of the Nooitgedagt Water Treatment Works in order to perform the final connection of the new Phase 3 upgrade.
The shutdown, scheduled for Tuesday, March 29, 2022, will allow the contractor on site to connect the new Phase 3 upgrade section into the existing Nooitgedagt Water Treatment and Transfer system.
To enable the work to be performed the existing Nooitgedagt Water Treatment Works will require a complete shutdown.
This shutdown for the connection is part of the first steps towards making Nooitgedagt Phase 3 operational. This will be a significant milestone reached and will greatly assist the NMBM’s ability provide a more secure source of water going forward.
