Minimum Qualifications:
- Registered Engineer (Civil/Mechanical)
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 20 years’ experience in the Water Sector and previously partake on an Expert role in Government/State Owned/ Municipalities.
- Extensive public sector infrastructure planning and management
Key Outputs:
Reporting to the Board Ad-hoc Committee of Amatola Water working in Chief Executive’s office, the appointee will be required to perform/look at the following:
- Business case for reconfiguration of Amatola Water for the expanded area of operations
- The Expert will provide detailed analysis of bulk water services in the Eastern Cape
- Strategic direction and advice (technical, operational, institutional, and financial)
- Development of Road Map
- Support to inform and direct the process of reconfiguration of Amatola Water.
- This would include the project management of relevant phases of the project.

- Planning and Project Management
- Contract management expertise
- Organisational skills, sound analytical thinking and problem
- Good communication and interpersonal relations skills
- Computer literacy, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Available to work immediately on contract basis
- Executive Management skills
- Sound financial management skills
- Good knowledge of working in a political environment
- Valid unendorsed driver’s license
- Coaching experience
- Municipal experience
