Minimum Qualifications:
•   B. Comm Accounting Degree or Equivalent with Articles
 
Preferred Qualifications:
•   B Comm Honours
•   Charted Accountant
 
Minimum Experience:
•   5 years Management and Financial Accounting experience in a supervisory capacity, including 3 years of payroll management 
 
Key Outputs:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer the appointee will:
•   Liaise with external and internal stakeholders to gather required supporting documents for project Management of financial reporting and control in order to provide the company with accurately,
     timeously and consistently recorded transactions
•   Review internal controls of systems and procedures hereby ensuring segregation of duties and adherence to standardised procedures
•   Ensure effective management of working capital in order to maximise cash reserves and ensure liquidity
•   Ensure compliance with Public Management Act, Treasury Regulations and King III Report Compile Management Reports for management to make timeous business decisions
•   Ensure CRS / BAAN ERP Software Support ensuring that integrity is maintained within the cost centre, Chart of Accounts and Integration Rules Structures
•   Manage  subordinates in order to ensure that the Finance Department is able to meet its obligations and provide opportunities for self-development of the individual
•   Ensure management of Insurance Issues in order to reduce the risk of Amatola Water suffering losses
•   Provide effective management of working capital
•   Ensure Payroll management
 
Other requirements needed:
•   Computer literacy is a requirement

•   Valid unendorsed driver’s license
•   Planning and organising
•   Problem solving skills
•   Effective written and spoken communication
•   Ability to manage people
•   Multi-tasking ability
•   Understanding of the Baan accounting package
