Independent Contractor: GRAP Compliance Specialist

Finance Division
Based at Head Office- East London
Minimum Qualifications:
• B.Comm degree with Accounting
Preffered Qualifications
• B.Comm Honours degree with Accounting
Minimum Experience:
• 5 years Financial Accounting experience in compilation of GRAP Annual Financial Statements
• Proven/working knowledge of CASEWARE AFS package
Key Outputs:
Reporting to the CFO, the appointee will:
• Manage the GRAP 17 Infrastructure Fixed Assets Register Project
• Compile both Interim and Annual Financial Statements for Amatola Water
• Develop the Audit File for Amatola Water Annual Financial Statements
• Co-ordinate all Auditor General Requests and submissions for the 2019/20 financial year
• Review the 2019/20 Audit Implementation Plan and ensure that all identified issues are addressed
• Review accounting policies for GRAP Compliance
• Ensure compliance with Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations and King IV Report
Other Requirements:
• Computer literacy is essential
• Ability to work independently and accurately
• Valid unendorsed driver’s license

• Effective written and spoken communication

• Multi-tasking ability
• Understanding of the BAAN accounting package
