Key Outputs:
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the appointee will:

Update and review Amatola Water Supply Chain Management and related Policy, Procedures and practices in line with relevant legislation while achieving operational efficiency

Ensure the cost effective and reliable procurement of all goods and services for Amatola Water
-
Establish and maintain primary service levels for the Procurement Function to benefit the organisation

Manage Preferential Procurement to ensure the relevant BBBEE targets are met
-
Ensure all procurement of goods and services in Amatola Water are done in an ethical and transparent manner
-
Manage staff to ensure effective functioning of Supply Chain

Oversee and Guide the Enterprise Development Program of Amatola Water
-
Ensure the cost effective and efficient management of inventory and Disposal within Amatola Water
-
Ensure that Supply Chain performance and activities are tracked and reported upon
Other Requirements:

Advanced level of computer literacy in MS Office
-
Excellent understanding of the organisation and divisional strategy and objectives

Extensive knowledge and experience in the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework

Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations
• In-depth knowledge and application of B-BBEE and Preferential Procurement legislation
• Good understanding of Financial Accounting
• Good understanding of Cost Accounting
• Must have sound analytical skills
• Negotiation Skills
• Strong – communication skills (verbal and written)
• Valid unendorsed driver’s license
• Interpersonal skills
• Organising and planning skills
• Very high level of ethical behaviour upholding ethical values at all times
• Ideally have an understanding of professional services, project industry and contracts management

• Able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
