Supply Chain Management (Finance Division)

Based at Head Office

Salary R443 768.00 – R616 530.00 (per annum inclusive of benefits)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma in Supply Chain Management/Purchasing Management/Procurement Management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.Com degree in Supply Chain Management/Purchasing Management/Procurement Management.

Minimum Experience:

  • 3 years’ Supply Chain Management/Purchasing Management/Procurement Management experience gained in a technical environment.

Key Outputs:

Reporting to the Senior Buyer, the appointee will:

  • Receive requirements and specifications and identify the procurement process to be followed
  • Evaluate tenders and award technical purchase order and contracts for technical goods and services in accordance with Procedures
  • Compile and evaluate RFQ and tender documents
  • Comply with targeted procurement practices with all purchases
  • Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate better pricing
  • Administer/control the processing of Purchase Orders on BAAN ERP System
  • Process and co-ordinate queries to ensure smooth functioning of the procurement process
  • Provide regular feedback to Supervisor regarding outstanding orders or problem orders
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding short deliveries, queries on delivery notes and payment queries
  • Liaise with internal users regarding outstanding requisitions and purchase orders
  • Provide information to the Financial Department with invoice queries
  • Liaise with engineering staff in respect of technical purchase requirements
  • Source the required goods and services
  • Identify goods/items in relation to requirements.
