Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree
  • Plus, a Postgraduate qualification or Master’s Degree (NQF level 8 or 9) in Management/ Project Management, Leadership/ Administration/ Business, Law, Economics.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-graduate qualification in management, legal, project management, business and/or financial management
  • MBA

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Water sector experience
  • Public sector experience
  • Organizational turnaround strategy experience
  • Change Management experience
  • Executive support and coordination experience
  • South African government policy and planning framework experience
  • Corporate governance experience

 Key performance areas, will include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Facilitating the successful implementation of the Board intervention plan
  • Provide support to the Office of the Chief Executive to meet the legal and corporate governance requirements
  • Provide expert advice to the office of the Chief Executive, as required from time to time
  • Perform high-level quality reviews of submissions to the Board and key stakeholders
  • Facilitating and co-ordination of the successful implementation of the Board intervention plan
  • Assist in the monitoring of the implementation of key Board resolutions
  • Support function to the office of the Board company secretary
  • Assist with the technical assessment and review of the strategic or catalytic projects
  • Provide support in the planning and implementation of special and strategic projects
  • Assist in the monitoring of the implementation of key Board resolutions
  • High-level coordination and consolidation of various key inputs for preparation and submission of reports
  • Support function to the office of the Board company secretary
  • Provide expert advice to the office of the Chief Executive, as required from time to time.
