Allegations of water contamination in East London
Amatola Water confirms that the allegations going around on social media and other community platforms - that the water in the East London area is contaminated, are unfounded and untrue.
The water board has investigated the allegations of water contamination and has found no evidence of contamination.
This was also confirmed by both LifeCare Hospitals in East London.
Water quality in all Amatola Water networks, which include Mdantsane, Bhisho, Dimbaza and King William's Town remains at acceptable standards and complies with SANS 241:20
