Six (6) months fixed term contract

Based at Head Office

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree (Honours or Post Graduate diploma at NQF8) in Human Resource Management/ Industrial Psychology/Labour law or any related field 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or MBL will be advantageous NQF9. 

Minimum Experience:

  • 10 years proven experience in corporate services environment, 5 years of which must be at senior management level/ Executive management level.
  • Good communication and interpersonal relations skills
  • Good knowledge of working within a politically charged environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of labour law 

Duties:

  • Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the appointee will, as part of the executive team, assist the Board of Amatola Water to oversee the Corporate Services functions of the organization; to meet the strategic objectives in line with the directive set by the Board. 

Position:

Key Performance Areas will include, but will not be limited to, the oversight and control of the following:

  • Strategy development and implementation
  • Ensure efficiency, effectiveness and smooth operation of the Corporate Services Division
  • Provide impartial advice and support to the management on Human Resources related matters.
  • Provide impartial advice and support to management on ICT related matters.
  • Corporate Administration Support - inclusive of Records, Fleet, Facilities and Security management
  • Management of Human Resources
  • Financial Management
  • Organisational planning, performance and development management, monitoring and reporting. 

Other requirements:

  • Ability to develop and implement operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated initiative to solve operational issues.
  • Leadership Skills
  • Proficiency with standard word-processing, spreadsheets, database, graphics, presentations and
  • web design applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
  • Strategic Thinking capability
  • Business acumen
  • Industry Knowledge, i.e., water sector
  • Valid unendorsed driver’s licence
