Learning & Development Officer
Corporate Services Division
Based at Nahoon Dam
Salary: R610, 005.00 – R823,329.00 (per annum inclusive of benefits)

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management (Training and Development) or equivalent related field

Minimum Experience:
• 5 years’ post qualification experience in training and development
• Extensive knowledge of the relevant skills development legislation (WSP/ATR/BBBEE etc)
• Proven experience with EE & SETA submissions
• SDF and Assessor and Moderator will be an advantage

Key Outputs:
Reporting to the Learning & Development Specialist, the employee will:
• Coordinate internal and external training to meet the needs of the organisation
• Compile training needs in conjunction with the relevant Line Managers
• Develop annual training programmes based on the training needs analyses taking into consideration the annual budget allocation
• Develop and implement the WSP and ATR
• Develop and implement sections of the annual Skills Plan as requested
• Submit information for the Annual Training Reports
• Provide information to be encapsulated in the Learning & Development quarterly reports for the HR Committee
• Prepare the Learning & Development annual reports for ESETA
• Coordinate the various occupationally directed Learning & Development Programmes
• Facilitate the identification of bursary beneficiaries at local tertiary institutions
• Liaise with the relevant institutions with regards to applications, results, etc. of the potential beneficiaries
• Market the Graduate Placement and In-Service Training programmes
• Facilitate and coordinate the process to select Graduates and In-service Trainees
• Coordinate the enrolment of employees into the ELP, MDP and SMDP
• Coordinate administration, i.e. prepare all documents for study assistance applications, loyalty agreement form, etc.
• Monitor the professional development process
• Administer the appointment of mentors and coaches for the development of critical skills e.g. to mentor candidate engineers
• Planning and Implementation of Learnership Programmes
• Partner with line managers, technical experts, HR, etc. to provide input regarding the design and development of courses, course structure and course content
• Source technical course materials, course management and delivery
• Monitor learner participation, learning and growth with regards to the learnership programme
• Develop, plan and implement learner support programmes such as learner counselling

Other requirements needed:
• Computer literate – MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong planning and organising skills
• Valid unendorsed driver’s license and willingness to travel
• Ability to supervise and direct a diverse range of learners
• Excellent report writing skills
