Executive Manager: Corporate Services
Based at Head Office

5-year Performance based contract
Total Guaranteed Package: R 1,509,359 - R 2,032,110
Minimum requirements:
• Degree (Honours or Post Graduate diploma at NQF8) in Human Resource Management/
Industrial Psychology/ Labour law
Added Advantage:
• MBA or MBL will be advantageous NQF9.
• Professional registration into a relevant recognised professional body
Minimum Experience:
• 10 years proven experience in corporate services environment, 4 years of which must be at Senior Management level/ Executive Management Level
• Good communication and interpersonal relations skills
• Substantial experience of working within a politically charged environment
• Comprehensive knowledge of labour law
Duties and Key Performance Areas will include, but will not be limited to:
• Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the appointee will, as part of the executive team, assist the Board of Amatola Water to meet the organisational strategic objectives by overseeing the following Corporate Services functions of the organization:
• Human Resources Management, Administration
• Information and Communication Technology
• Corporate Administration Support (inclusive of Records, Fleet, Facilities and Security management)
• Provide input in respect of Corporate Services into the development of Amatola Water’s five-year business plan in consultation with the CEO and Executive team members.
• Support the CEO with the implementation of strategy through tracking and monitoring departmental performance and reporting to the Board on performance achieved against the business plan on a quarterly basis.
• Provide strategic advice to the business and the Board on Human Resource, Administration and ICT matters.
• Provide input and develop the Amatola Water annual report for submission to the CEO and The Board.
• Provide input and develop the monthly, quarterly and annual reports in accordance with the relevant statutory requirements for submission to the CEO and The Board.
• Produce departmental performance reports aligned to the strategy of Amatola Water.
• Oversee the implementation of the ICT governance framework and drive ICT initiatives within the organization at an executive level/governance champion.
• Ensure efficiency, effectiveness and smooth operation of the Corporate Services Division.
• Provide impartial advice and support to the management on Human Resources related matters.
• Provide impartial advice and support to management on ICT related matters.
• Financial Management
• Organisational planning, performance and development management, monitoring and reporting.
Other requirements:
• Ability to develop and implement operations, policies, and procedures.
• Demonstrated initiative to solve operational issues.

• Proficiency with standard word-processing, spreadsheets, database, graphics, presentations and web design applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skill

• Water Sector Industry Knowledge
• Valid unendorsed driver’s licence
