Supply Chain Management - Finance Division

Salary: R470,363 – R620,352 (per annum inclusive of benefits)

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business/Public Management related qualification

 

Preferred Qualification:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business/Public Management related qualification

 

Minimum Experience:

  • 3 years’ administrative experience of which 2 years must have been in Supply Chain Management

 

Key Outputs:

Reporting to the Demand Management Specialist, the appointee will:

  • Coordinate review, collect and collate information for the annual procurement plan
  • Coordinate the integration of the procurement plan.
  • Collect information from the relevant role players according to the prescribed template.
  • Coordinate and Facilitate Bid Specification Committee Meetings
  • Prepare the BSC annual calendar/rooster and distribute to the various internal stake holders as required, together with the LDS.
  • Draft appointment letter/s of Bid Specification committee members.
  • Manage Requisition Administration
  • Receive submission of purchase requests and confirm budget availability.
  • Record all purchase requests received and distribute to Acquisition Buyer/s Offices monthly.
  • Manage and Perform Administrative and Related Functions
  • Maintain Bids/RFQs Register.
  • Assist with RFQ document compilation/review.

 

Key Competencies:

  • Knowledge of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa,2 in particular section 217, the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act,3 and Regulations
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management Regulations (SCM Regulations).
  • Understanding of Government: Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
  • Ability to handle multiple and complex tasks and projects.
  • Computer literacy – MS Office, MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • People management skills with ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Valid unendorsed driver’s license
