Supply Chain Management - Finance Division

Salary: R432,445 – R563,527 (per annum inclusive of benefits)

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Matric Certificate
  • 1 Year certificate in SCM/ Procurement/ Administration or equivalent

 

Preferred Qualification:

  • Diploma in SCM/ Procurement/ Administration or equivalent

 

Minimum Experience:

  • 2 years’ administrative experience of which 1 year must have been in Supply Chain

 

Key Outputs:

Reporting to the Lead Demand Specialist, the appointee will:

  • Plan and Coordinate Unit Responsibilities
  • Prepare BSC annual calendar together with the Lead Specialist.
  • Coordinate weekly meetings for the committee and ensure that all documentation is copied and circulated to members in accordance with the agreed timelines.
  • Coordinate and Facilitate Bid Specification Committee Administration
  • Receive documents and compile submission packs.
  • Arrange BSC meeting with relevant stakeholders.
  • Render General Bid Administrative Support Services
  • Maintain and Update Bid Register.
  • Assist with Bid compilations.

 

Key Competencies:

  • Knowledge of relevant sections in the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa,2 in particular section 217, the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act,3 and Regulations
  • Understanding of the Supply Chain Management Regulations (PSCM Regulations).
  • Understanding Local/Provincial Government: Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
  • Ability to handle multiple and complex tasks and projects.
  • Computer literacy – MS Office, MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • People management skills with ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Valid unendorsed driver’s license
