Amatola water reaches global standard with lab accreditation

EAST LONDON– Amatola Water has achieved a remarkable milestone with the international accreditation of its laboratory, officially recognised by the South African National Accreditation System (SANAS) under the prestigious ISO/IEC 17025 standard on 30 October 2025.

Deputy Minister David Mahlobo welcomed Deputy President Paul Mashatile at Qunu Village, Eastern Cape, to witness the resuscitation of the Qunu Noyiya water scheme. The event embraced by the participation of Dr. G. Sharpley, Chairperson of the Amatola Water Board, along with a delegation from the board.
